Eurotrip- Wien

Just before we left Strasbourg (France), we had fried rice (made by Aimi that morning)..

We had an outdoor picnic that night outside our hostel.. Our hostel is located on a hilly site about 45 mins away from the city centre.. So the view from our hostel is really spectacular.. Just right for a picnic..

The next day..
lupa ku nama nya.. but it's like a tower and ada this like plank, utk bungie jumping.. if im not mistaken, ada pernah orang Amazing Race buat bungie jumping on that tower..

We went back home after a brief visit because we needed to change and take a shower for the orchestra that evening.. Ngam we stumbled on the 'SUN IN THE CITY' which was really a place to eat.. More like a food court which serves international food.. We had Thai food when we were there..

THIRD DAY..

We went to Schloss Schönbrunn, once a palace for the Royal family.. It was a huge place and it has its own zoo. Actually, it is the oldest zoo in Europe as it was a gift to Maria Terresa. It has a greenhouse, a maze, labyrinth and my favourite place in the palace, the Gloriette.. It's like an arch thing located on top of a hill.. and the view is breathtaking.. lawa lah brabis..

After that, we had lunch and went to one of the biggest market in Vienna.. I love the going to local markets.. and then we separated because ada yang ngalih sudah.. Farah and I continued our visits. We passed a lot of places to visit but we were also too tired that we only stopped at the Hunderwasser Haus (Underwater House) and KunstHaus (House of arts).

*IF YOU EVER GO TO VIENNA.. YOU SHOULD HOP ON THE TRAM NO 2.. It'll bring you to tourist places around the city centre


the Hunterwasser (pronounced Un-ter-va-zer.. Kami pronounce Hun-ter-wa-zer.. and orang inda paham or kana ketawa kan.. cause nya orang in German, you pronounce the words as it is... tekarang~ haha)..
a funky place to visit.. inside ada souvenir shops and museums. The building, I think, is made up of recycle stuff macam recycled bottles, glasses, mirrors, tiles etc.. and the floors are biyut membiyut.. inda flat.. cool lah.. worth the visit..

hi everyone..

just a quick update.. im in London.. Arrived here from Paris via Lille on the 26th of June.. Transit d Lille for a few hours and had the chance to meet up Zhilin, Minh and Hector at Lille. Had lunch with them at Subway, Euralille. It's good to see them again =D

When I was in Paris, Amal, Pj, Shidah, Dilah, Dizah and Rasmina (aka Bibi.. awuuu.. ia datang dari Brunei) were there.. Showed them around lah.. tapi durang balik London a day earlier..

Anyway, I've been in London for over a week sudah.. Sioooook~ Ngam summer sale ahhh~ =D wohoooo~ Yang Harrods punya sale lagi sioook brabis.. tapi crowded lah..

Im staying at durang Amal's pad at Queensways.. most of them balik Brunei ni.. One by one semua orang balik Brunei.. Sigh.. Mina and Shidah balik sudah..

Aku dangar Uncle Atan is coming this Thursday and Bungsu aji and his family are coming to the UK (esok tapi durang ke Ireland dulu for Ka Iza's graduation then ke London on the 11th kali).. So I might be staying at Brunei Hall when they're here.. Then tarus ku balik ke France..

DZIEN DOBRY everibodeh!

im in krakow, poland right now. I'm already half way into my eurotrip.

Just went to Auschwitz (the biggest NAZI concentration camp- an hour and a half from Krakow) and then went to the Wawel castle at Krakow's city centre. Siok lah Auschwitz ah especially if you're into history and if you know the story behind it.. Sedih jua lah.. And payah kan imagine how those people really suffer and how some could survive at Auschwitz..

Today's a public holiday in Poland. Something to do with the christian religion. So most of the shops are closed and it's difficult to hunt for souvenirs. Oh speaking of which, gila there's like AT LEAST 18 cathedrals/churches in the old town area in the city centre.. alum lagi luar the old town.. and tadi, you can see like nuns in their uniforms (yang macam the ones in Sister Act punya movie) like almost everywhere.. baru ku telarah.. d besancon, nuns nya inda jua tinggi sangat tudung durang and pakai skirt 3/4 and warna navy blue uniform durang and durang jarang ada in groups.. tadi sana sini nuns durang bejalan in groups.. cali lah sikit.. pasal macam penguins tia jua banar.. no offense.

Eh tapi kan.. it's really difficult to find halal food here. And I'm sick of McD's fillet-o-fish and tuna pizza. My maggi supply is running low. Hope to find halal chicken or Nordsee (this really great Seafood fastfood restaurant.. You guys should eat there if you ever find it.. I think you can find it in Germany, Austria, Czech Republic and Switzerland.. inda ku sure ah in other countries..)

Anyways, most of the Polish don't speak english so it's difficult to communicate.. Even the train/bus punya ticket officers inda cakap english.. paning.. Sorang atu pandai cakap Spanish tah plg.. Baik jua jo hablas y entiendo un poco de espanol. haha

Bah eh.. kan ke supermarket dulu kan bali talur utk masak maggi.. hahaha dap dap..

le voyage commence... ...demain!

will start the first lag of my journey tomorrow afternoon.. Besancon-Strasbourg.. Strasbourg-Vienna..

Birthdays..

Sorry I haven't blogged much since... entah..

I've finally finished my EXAMS! wohoooo~ but I still have one more exam to sit for.. tapi ani exam DALF.. more or less macam exam IELTS.. tapi exam d skulah abis sudah.. alhamdullilah~ and i have no more classes to go to till early August.. No more Galvez, Mirodout and Duprey!

The DALF exam is on the 29th of May.. And I've bought tickets to go on my eurotrip with Aimi, Farah and Sasi on the 3rd of June.. We'll be travelling from Starsbourg (France) to Vienna (Austria) followed by Budapest (Hungary) and a day trip to Bratislava (Slovakia) and then off to Krakow (Poland) and later to Berlin (Germany) and our last stop, Paris (France) where we will go to DISNEYLAND!.. and maybe after Paris, I might join the Londoners to London to visit my brother, Halim..

Anyway~ sorry ah lambat.. but..

A VISIT TO THE CITADELLE (fotress) ... The Citadelle is a hugh fotress.. You have to climb uphill to go there.. Inside, there are some museums and a zoo.. yes.. a ZOO.. haha ada ada saja..
