BUDAPEST, HUNGARY...
The house of TERROR.. The roof has "TERROR" written on it. The builing is used to be one of the Nazi's secret police buildings during the WW II in Budapest, Hungary..

The Great Synagoge, the largest synagoge in Europe and the second largest in the world.

Budapest is actually made up of Buda (the hilly part), Pest (the flat part) and the Daunbe river which 'separates Buda and Pest'. The major bridge linking both Buda and Pest is the Chain Bridge.

BRATISLAVA, SLOVAKIA...

Slovakia was part of Czechoslovakia until the country split up into Czech Repubic and Slovakia in 1992. I've been to Prague (capital of Czech Republic) in February 2009. And so, there I was, a few months later, exploring the other part of the what used to be called Czechoslovakia..

When we were there, it was really hot! Brabis!

Our first stop was the Devin castle (which is in ruins sudah).. It's an hour bus ride from the city centre.. And from the bus stop, we had to hike our way up along the winding paths to reach the entrance. Sudah tah d bus nada aircond.. Bejalan kaki naik ke atas with the hot sun above us made it tiring..

The town center.. Di sana banyak macam statues of random people like the Paparazzo, the men at work, the guard and the man on the bench.. and the statues are scattered randomly in the town.. =D

KRAKOW, POLAND

Out of all the european countries I've visited so far, I think Poland is the most Catholic country ever in Europe. Cause in Krakow, there were over 15 churches/cathedral around the town center.. And the city center isn't that big.. Satu hari melawat jalan batis pun cukup.. And that one day, when we went to Auschwitz, it was on a religious public holiday.. On the way to Auschwitz, at around 9am, we passed a lot of small villages and you could see the villagers with their family in nice attires walking along the main road to go to church.. It was the first time I saw anything like that in Europe.. And that reminds me of orang jalan kaki ke masjid untuk Sembahyang Jumaat. Especially time ada tahlil di Tutong (lapas orang Sembahyang Jumaat) pasal biasa nya kami pakai jalan lama dari Sengkurung ke Tutong and melintas orang ke masjid lah..

ohhh and and the day we arrived, we went to the park around the city center lah.. and we saw groups of nuns with the 'penguin' uniform (that you would see in movies such as the Sister Act) feeding the piegons and bezikir on the bench with the tasbih on the other hands. Baru tah ku pernah liat ni.. biasa d France, nuns durang ada pulang 'betudung' tapi durang pakai baju biru and dress durang three-quarters and short sleeved.

AUSCHWITZ, POLAND

The barracks are now used as museums
between the barracks and the gas chamber..
inside the gas chamber.. Victims are asked to stripped off their clothes before going to this room to be killed.

This is Auschwitz II (Birkaneau), 3km from Auschwitz I. The compound and killing 'facilities' are a lot bigger hence than Auschwitz I, so more people died here.

Eurotrip- Wien

Just before we left Strasbourg (France), we had fried rice (made by Aimi that morning)..

We had an outdoor picnic that night outside our hostel.. Our hostel is located on a hilly site about 45 mins away from the city centre.. So the view from our hostel is really spectacular.. Just right for a picnic..

The next day..
lupa ku nama nya.. but it's like a tower and ada this like plank, utk bungie jumping.. if im not mistaken, ada pernah orang Amazing Race buat bungie jumping on that tower..

We went back home after a brief visit because we needed to change and take a shower for the orchestra that evening.. Ngam we stumbled on the 'SUN IN THE CITY' which was really a place to eat.. More like a food court which serves international food.. We had Thai food when we were there..

THIRD DAY..

We went to Schloss Schönbrunn, once a palace for the Royal family.. It was a huge place and it has its own zoo. Actually, it is the oldest zoo in Europe as it was a gift to Maria Terresa. It has a greenhouse, a maze, labyrinth and my favourite place in the palace, the Gloriette.. It's like an arch thing located on top of a hill.. and the view is breathtaking.. lawa lah brabis..

After that, we had lunch and went to one of the biggest market in Vienna.. I love the going to local markets.. and then we separated because ada yang ngalih sudah.. Farah and I continued our visits. We passed a lot of places to visit but we were also too tired that we only stopped at the Hunderwasser Haus (Underwater House) and KunstHaus (House of arts).

*IF YOU EVER GO TO VIENNA.. YOU SHOULD HOP ON THE TRAM NO 2.. It'll bring you to tourist places around the city centre


the Hunterwasser (pronounced Un-ter-va-zer.. Kami pronounce Hun-ter-wa-zer.. and orang inda paham or kana ketawa kan.. cause nya orang in German, you pronounce the words as it is... tekarang~ haha)..
a funky place to visit.. inside ada souvenir shops and museums. The building, I think, is made up of recycle stuff macam recycled bottles, glasses, mirrors, tiles etc.. and the floors are biyut membiyut.. inda flat.. cool lah.. worth the visit..

london

hi everyone..

just a quick update.. im in London.. Arrived here from Paris via Lille on the 26th of June.. Transit d Lille for a few hours and had the chance to meet up Zhilin, Minh and Hector at Lille. Had lunch with them at Subway, Euralille. It's good to see them again =D

When I was in Paris, Amal, Pj, Shidah, Dilah, Dizah and Rasmina (aka Bibi.. awuuu.. ia datang dari Brunei) were there.. Showed them around lah.. tapi durang balik London a day earlier..

Anyway, I've been in London for over a week sudah.. Sioooook~ Ngam summer sale ahhh~ =D wohoooo~ Yang Harrods punya sale lagi sioook brabis.. tapi crowded lah..

Im staying at durang Amal's pad at Queensways.. most of them balik Brunei ni.. One by one semua orang balik Brunei.. Sigh.. Mina and Shidah balik sudah..

Aku dangar Uncle Atan is coming this Thursday and Bungsu aji and his family are coming to the UK (esok tapi durang ke Ireland dulu for Ka Iza's graduation then ke London on the 11th kali).. So I might be staying at Brunei Hall when they're here.. Then tarus ku balik ke France..
